MediaWrapper Light lets you scan a removable disk, and print out the contents on a wrapper that you can insert into the disk case. Currently MediaWrapper Light supports Zip, Jaz, CD-ROM, EZ Flyer, SyJet, SyQuest, MagnetoOptical Disks, and SuperDisk and scans to the clipboard.

MediaWrapper Light Features
MediaWrapper Light offers the following features:
• Scan inside subfolders
• Prints Date Scanned and Space Available on disk
• Editable fields
• Picture can be changed for all wrappers.
• MediaWrapper Light stores all settings including a default picture which can be set using the Preferences in the Edit menu.
• MediaWrapper Light is also much faster then previous versions.
MediaWrapper Light was created using REALBasic, and no longer relies on Applescript. In addition to a significant speed boost, MediaWrapper Light does not experience any of the incompatibilities with HP 600 and 800 series printers which were found in the previous wrapper programs. MediaWrapper Light also eliminates the -1757 "Unknown Dialect Error" and the "Please locate the Facespan extension" error, which occasionally caused problems with older versions.
Basic Use of MediaWrapper Light
Open the MediaWrapper Light program by double clicking on the icon. The main screen will appear.
Using the Controls in the upper left corner, you can choose a media type, scan the disk and print a wrapper. You can also choose to scan subfolders and print the date and the space available on the disk.
To begin, select a media type from the popup menu on the left side of the controls screen.
Next, check the Scan Inside Subfolders box if you want MediaWrapper Light to scan inside subfolders. For example, if you open your hard drive, you will see a System Folder. When the Scan Inside Subfolders box is NOT checked, MediaWrapper Light will display an entry for the System Folder, but not its contents. When the Scan Inside Subfolders box IS checked, MediaWrapper Light will display an entry for the System Folder and a list of its contents, indented slightly to the right. You can use the Preferences under the Edit menu to control if MediaWrapper Light will scan inside the first level of sub-folders or the first two levels of subfolders. See the Subfolders section for details.
Click on the Select Disk... button and select a disk from the dialog box that appears. When the disk name is listed on the button at the bottom of the dialog box, click on the button to select the disk.
When the disk is finished scanning you can print the wrapper or make adjustments to your settings and scan the disk again. The Print Date, and Print Space Free boxes can be used to determine the items printed on the wrapper. You can also edit the contents of the fields if you like. Be careful as this can sometimes cause the contents to overlap or exceed the edge of the wrapper.
Click once on Print to begin printing the wrapper.

The Scan to Clipboard option allows you to scan a disk and then paste the file list into your own custom layout. You can create your own custom layout in Quark, Microsoft Word, AppleWorks (ClarisWorks) or just about any Word Processing/ Page Layout program you like.
